My life was flipped upside down when I was told that I had an autoimmune condition back in 2021. I had always been passionate about sports and health and I couldn’t cope with the fact that I had Lupus. I felt a lot of shame and blamed myself for it.

At 25 years old I had to turn down my dream teaching position due to extreme joint pain, alopecia, and painful blisters that appeared all over my face and body. I had been told that I'd have to wear long sleeve tops and avoid going out in the sun and that I would have to spend the rest of my life on immunosuppressants and potentially chemotherapy.

My family and friends saved me during this time and I took that fear that I felt and put it towards researching everything I could about how to get better. Through this research, I discovered the vital link between diet and gut health and I started eating in the most anti-inflammatory & gut-friendly way possible. And after just two months of changing my diet and lifestyle, I started to heal. It is now three years on I am so grateful for where I am today! My health journey has led me to create SUPERKEEN.
